SHOOT DAY 1 - Today was the first shoot day for Liam J Collin's "We Looked Like Giants" short film. It is a project for drama school, but also plans to throw it into the festival circuit when we're done. Liam is a rising actor who is acting and directing a short script he has written called 'We Looked Like Giants", an emotional drama. There are 2 shoot days in total. Charlette is Assistant Director and also acting, for the third time on screen with Liam, for the short. I am Director Of Photography. We decided not to shoot with a large crew, or on a DSLR, instead we're keeping thr crew as small as possible and shooting on my old sony shoulder mouunt. It was good wiping the dust from my old camera. The first shoot day was literally myself, Charlette and Liam, just the three of us. The scenes were easy and quick, filming at Liam brother's house; Jacob Burtenshaw. Altough the shoot was very easy, it was still of course a hard day for Liam and Charlette acting as the short film is very emotionally demanding. But of course, they delivered perfectly and the shoot day went amazingly well. The 2nd, and final, shoot day for "We Looked Like Giants" is SATURDAY 17th MARCH which we're very excited for.
